My heart literally bursts with excitement and pride to have taken these images of beautiful Lily in front of her high school, donning her cap, gown and red tassel, symbolizing her high academic honors. You see, not only have I known darling Lily since she was four years old when I first became her Spanish teacher, but also over the past 6 years, Lily and her family have become my family too. I feel quite like a proud Auntie with tears in her eyes, thinking about all that Lily has accomplished and all that lies ahead of her. Sweet Lily, I know this is certainly not how you imagined your senior year would end, but my dear friend once told me, “From thunderstorms come rainbows,” and I am certain she was right about that.
