Two birthday girls and a handsome little dude {Milwaukee Family Photographer}

So this summer has been crazy busy with client sessions (I’m not complaining!) so I feel like I’ve neglected photos of my own family quite a bit …and I am just finally getting around to editing photos from Cecilia’s first birthday session. She already looks so much more grown up than this, only one month later.  Her hair is longer (and CURLIER!) and she is looking more like a toddler and less like a baby. Sniff. sniff. Where have all my babies gone? Anyway. Last month on a beautiful summer evening we headed over to Doctor’s Park as a family to get some photos in honor of Cece’s first birthday and Lucia’s 4th. It was kind of a last minute decision, although I had rehabbed the chair that I found on Craigslist with the concept in mind.  I ran into the party supply store to grab the pink balloons first, and by the time we got to the park, some huge dark clouds had rolled in, and within a few minutes of being there it was sprinkling and and we were swarmed with mosquitos. If that wasn’t enough, Lucia had to go to the bathroom and there was no bathroom to be found. I will spare you all the details of how that played out. AH, parenthood.

Even though it didn’t go exactly as planned–I am so glad we did this session.  I love that I will always have a permanent record of Cecilia’s chubby little thighs and dimpled elbows and I will always remember what she looked like when she babbled with only two little teeth peeking out from underneath her bottom lip. Its only been a month and already these little baby features are fading into memories.

Oh Cecilia, you’ve taken my heart.

And here are all my babies. Growing up.

Handsome dude and the other birthday girl.

Ladybug. Four years old? Impossible.

Hi, I'm Erin...

...and this is me and my soulmate. Wanna know more about me and my crazy, beautiful, chaotic life? I have seven kids.

I LOVE coffee, travel, live music, fresh flowers and all things yoga. I'm not a fan of beer or bonfires and I REALLY can't stand bushy beards. Ewww!

I dream of living on the beach one day, where I'll sip margaritas and watch the sunset with my husband.
