I’ve been holding off as long as possible on this one…maybe because I’m slightly in denial that this is really happening. How could this guy be graduating already?? My heart can barely believe it’s almost time to send him off on his own…and yet my mind knows that he’s ready. It’s time. Cooper’s four years at Nicolet High School as a student and athlete are coming to a close and he’s preparing to spread his (golden eagle) wings. After successful high school careers of football, basketball and also track; as well as academic accolades that would make any parent’s heart swell with pride, Cooper has decided to continue his journey at Marquette University, following in his dad’s footsteps. 💙 💛 Words can’t even describe the emotions that surround this kismet. For me now, it’s a kind of knowing that feels like the “just right next step” and I hope it feels that way for Cooper, too. My kids and I have often learned the hard way : You can’t plan your life out. You never know what curveballs may be thrown at you, so you just have to trust and believe there is a plan and that every little thing is gonna be alright, if you work hard, do your best, and make the most of the challenges that you’re faced with. Cooper, you are the epitome of this mantra. You embody grit and resilience, and I have no doubt that your next chapter at Marquette is going to be remarkable. I love you mucho. xoxo Mom
