Today I am sharing images from another beautiful family who also holds a very special place in my heart. I’ve photographed Jen and Matt with their little darlings more times than I can count over the past seven years, capturing every birthday party and many other special family milestones. Documenting all of these treasured times has made them feel very much like family to me, and the fact that they keep inviting me back into their lives to capture these glimmering glimpses fills my heart in a way that is difficult to describe. And while I sure do love all of the many years of lovely photos of their family hugging and smiling right into my lens, it is those little in between moments that truly make my heart flutter as I pour over the images from their sessions. This time around it was the impromptu game of rock, paper, scissors that Landon and Avery played to see who would pose first. It was Jen lightly tucking the hair behind Avery’s ear as she smiled lovingly at her. Then there was Jen giggling after Matt gave her a kiss on the forehead, Avery and Landon cracking up after I asked them to touch their noses together, and Jen measuring with her hand how Landon is almost catching up to her in height. THESE are the moments I live for. This is why I do what I do and why I am grateful every day that I get to do what I love! Jen and Matt, thank you, from the bottom of my heart for letting me into yours and for allowing me to share so many of your precious moments with the world.
