Sofie’s Bat Mitzvah took place on an absolutely gorgeous summer day last month, after having been delayed since November due to the pandemic. It was a Havdalah service at Congregation Shalom followed by a fabulous party outside under an enormous tent at North Shore Country Club. I remain in awe of the beauty, tradition and sentiments that this type of event evokes and this day was no exception. I’ve been inside this temple dozens of times but the light reflects differently throughout each day and at various times of the year, sharing in the beauty of the seasons. Sofie was glowing as was her family, enveloping her in their pride and love on this momentous occasion. The Lacrosse themed party was the perfect mix of classy, sporty, and fun, with the guests feasting on delicious food from stations offering street tacos, burgers, Brazilian steak and more! The entertainment and candy were plentiful and the guests danced the night away under the stars. By all accounts, it was an incredible day.  Mazel Tov, Sofie.
