Wowsers. There were so many gorgeous images of Julia, that it was difficult to decide which ones to share here. First off, I am enamored with the venue that Julia and her mom chose for our session. It is my all time favorite wedding venue as I have had the pleasure of shooting several weddings at the Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum on Milwaukee’s east side. However, this was my first time there for a senior portrait session. With the gardens, the view of Lake Michigan, the terrace and the atrium, there were so many beautiful settings to serve as a backdrop to this stunning senior. Additionally, the weather was rather strange that day for a mid-August afternoon in Wisconsin. It wavered erratically between cool, warm, breezy, drizzly and sunny…but cooperated just enough for us to capture what you’ll see here. Right in the middle of our session, as Julia was changing it was simultaneously drizzling and sunny and just as Julia emerged from inside, out came the most beautiful double rainbow. How lucky were we to see such a beautiful sight. And how lucky I am to have known and taught this beautiful girl.
