Shooting Ella’s Senior photos a few weeks ago was so special for many reasons. First, she has attended school with my son since K4 so I have known her since she was just a little girl. 💗 Second, Ella lost her beautiful mom this summer after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. Wendy was also a photographer, and although we didn’t know each other well, we frequently referred business to one another when one or the other of us was already booked. Having recently photographed my own son for his senior year, I know how much Wendy would have cherished the opportunity to photograph Ella for this special milestone. So when her husband, Chris, reached out and asked me if I would capture Ella for him, I was truly honored. 💗 Ella, I LOVED our time together last month. You are such a natural beauty, and kind soul and you have the most warm and peaceful presence. I couldn’t help but see your mom in you in the moments that we spent together. I wish you all the best in your senior year and beyond and am praying for your family as you navigate the challenging path ahead as you continue to grieve the loss of you beautiful mom.
