A couple weeks ago I met my dear friends, Eileen and Elaine, and their families at Virmond Park in Mequon for this lovely family session with their sweet mom. ❤️ My heart just bursts at these images because I love these people so much and capturing them together was really special. Let’s be honest, family photo shoots are for the moms. Husbands and kids typically don’t love getting all dressed up and smiling for the camera but if we are really going to tell it like it is, moms actually don’t either! However, when the result is cousins running and playing together, grandkids snuggling up in a bear hug with Yia Yia, sisters and brothers racing off into the sunset…it’s all worth it. We will take the complaints about dress clothes and the hassle and struggle of getting everyone out the door in exchange for some treasured family photos, because these are the moments that us moms live for. And we want to capture them, bottle them up, and cherish them forever.
