the Lee/Gray Family | Milwaukee Family Photographer in Chicago

Today I am struggling to find the words to express how I feel about this family, who is very special to me. I have been photographing them since their oldest was just a few months old, when we originally were connected in a case of mistaken identity. Haha. Pretty funny. It turns out they were expecting a different photographer, also named Erin Harris, but instead they got me! And boy am I happy that fate brought us together because I have now photographed this beautiful family a dozen times in the past six and a half years. Over the years, I have traveled to their home and they have come to my studio space in Milwaukee, we have met at parks and train stations, we’ve exchanged hugs, traded parenting stories and grown to know and adore each other, all the while documenting their treasured family milestones. To say that it has been my pleasure, is the understatement of the year. Quite simply, I LOVE this family. And despite the fact that if you add it all up, we’ve maybe only spent a total of about 12 or 13 hours together….somehow, they sorta feel like family.  Happy Holidays, Lisa and Matthew!
