Darling Jake came into the world a bit early this month, which was an incredibly perfect surprise to his family considering the fact that they were dying to meet him. This family of four consists of two of the kindest people and two of the most adorable little people I have ever met. To say that I feel a special connection to this family is the understatement of the year. From the days before we met when their Lilly and my Cecilia were born one day apart in the same hospital to months later when Katie and I sat next to each other on the first day of school and learned of this coincidence, I believe we have shared a special bond. I have since come to believe that there really are no coincidences in life. People say this all the time and it sounds so cliché but I believe with all my heart that people come and go in our lives for a purpose and that we are all connected in some way, perhaps by an invisible thread. I couldn’t feel more blessed that this family came into my life and am beyond honored that I was able to document these precious beginnings with sweet little Jake. Katie and Dan, I wish you and your beautiful family all the love and happiness that life has to offer today and always.
