Cooper is Six | Let’s Play Ball

It is almost impossible to believe that my baby boy is six years old. Where did the time go?! It feels like just yesterday he was my itty bitty baby…the one who made me a mommy… The one I dreamed about for forever before finally meeting him, snuggling him in my arms and gazing into his bright blue eyes. And now he is SIX years old and those eyes still absolutely melt my heart. At six, my little Cooper still occasionally likes to snuggle with mama, but mostly he loves to read, put together Star Wars legos, and play sports. Would you believe that? A six year old boy who likes sports?!? Of course you would. But would you believe that this kid watches almost every single Bucks game from beginning to end….and spends HOURS each day shooting hoops in the basement (this is Wisconsin and its still winter, right?) while simultaneously watching an NBA game on the big screen AND keeping score and boisterously commentating his own imaginary game? On days he is not slam-dunking in the basement, he often tilts the laundry baskets on their sides in order to play a lively game of soccer with his sister. Or perhaps he is in the backyard, hitting tennis balls off his tee. After school, he may often be found digging through his drawers for his “too small” jerseys so that he can provide his sister with a uniform for their scrimmaging. Needless to say, when it came time to think of a theme for Cooper’s birthday party, the choice was simple. A simple sports themed party. And when I say simple, I really mean it. Almost everything for this party, I already had leftover from another event, or I made myself…with the exception of the cake. I don’t bake cakes. 🙂 So given the fact that this party was DIYed on a MAJOR budget, I am pretty happy with how it turned out. And even happier with the memories we’ll have of this special day forever.

Hi, I'm Erin...

...and this is me and my soulmate. Wanna know more about me and my crazy, beautiful, chaotic life? I have seven kids.

I LOVE coffee, travel, live music, fresh flowers and all things yoga. I'm not a fan of beer or bonfires and I REALLY can't stand bushy beards. Ewww!

I dream of living on the beach one day, where I'll sip margaritas and watch the sunset with my husband.
